EAT LIKE A CHAMPION!!

Hi Tip Toppers
Just a reminder that eating like a CHAMPION will make you feel like a Champ!
Some key points for eating better..

1.  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
2.  Drink 10 glasses of water daily
3.  Never skip a meal
4.  6 fruits and vegetables daily
5.  Eat 3 balanced meals and 3 snacks a day
6.  Never change your meal plans before tournaments or practice
7.  Eat fruit right after practice/match to replenish your body with nutrients
8.  Don't drink caffeine...this will give you mood swings
9.  Eat a snack right after school and before workouts/tennis practice

Also The Tip Top athlete of the month is Cory Dolins.  A freshman at GBN starting on the freshman basketball Team as a point guard.  Average points scored were 10 points.  The record of the team is 22-1.  Glenbook North High School won confrence this year!
Cory also made the freshman Baseball Team at GBN .  He also plays travel basket basketball for Rising Stars.

My next blog will give you specific food intake!!!

Train and get ready for Spring/Summer Sports!!!

Dear Tip Toppers,

I was sad to say that Duke lost in the Sweet 16. I felt like Villanova played like a Championship Team and Duke couldn't do it!!  Next year will be Duke's year!

I have an MVP of the month and new Tip Top Athlete. Conrad Harron who is ranked #1 in the country in the 12 and unders. We are getting ready for Easter Bowl and Conrad is working very hard on his physical and mental game!! Look for the mover of the YEAR..... Conrad Harron!

The New Trier Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Carbondale over spring break...They had a record of 4 and 1. Gordie Campbell started on the Varsity team as a sophmore. The baseball team seemed strong and consistant throughout spring break.

Look on www.tiptoptraining to see my summer schedule!

Talk to everyone soon!

NCAA Basketball Tournament

Hi Tip Toppers,

I was so excited the game against Duke and
Texas!  It was a bit close for me to watch but I guess every play off game seems to be a two point game. The end result was 74 Duke 69 Texas.
Thee was one particular shot which I thought saved the game...It was the Scheyer left arm throw behind his back and into the middle of the court to shave at least 5 seconds off the clock..  That must have been from all his strength training in the past....particularly from the medicine ball!   Coach k compared Jon Scheyer to Magic Johnson on one of  the play of the game in the you tube video!

Sweet 16 Duke against Villanova  Thursday night 9pm on CBS
Let's all cheer on Duke and our Tip Top player of the year Jon Scheyer!
Good Luck!
